⭐☆☆☆☆ I visited Good Hands Reflexology while in New Orleans because I was in a pinch. My neck and back were bothering me, and I had an event later that evening, so I was looking for a straightforward massage service. The experience was disappointing. I initially requested a service that was advertised at $80. During the session, the therapist repeatedly added services without clearly explaining the additional costs or obtaining meaningful consent. The price then increased to $104, and at the end of the session I was directed to another chair for additional work. When everything was finished, I was told the total was now $118. The treatment itself was not particularly skilled or therapeutic. The therapist spent most of the session repeatedly working over the same restricted areas in my back and neck without much variation or noticeable improvement. It was not especially relaxing, nor did it feel customized to my needs. What bothered me most was the lack of transparency regarding pricing. As a licensed massage therapist myself, I spoke with them afterward and explained that clients should be told exactly what service they are receiving and exactly what it will cost before additional services are performed. Unfortunately, I did not feel my concerns were taken seriously. BEWARE: Make sure you clearly confirm both the exact service and the total price BEFORE the session begins, and do not allow any add-ons unless you fully understand and agree to the additional charges. I understand language barriers can happen, but clear pricing and informed consent are essential. I left feeling frustrated and spent significantly more than I had planned for a service that did not meet my expectations.
